This lot contains 6 wing feathers for native arts, fashions, fly tying, and feather crafts. These are sourced from Europe and not from a protected US songbird. These feathers are selected for traditional whole wing salmon flies and other artistic feather
applications.
Eurasian jay (
Garrulus glandarius
) is native to vast region from Western Europe and north-west Africa to India and further to the eastern seaboard of Asia and down into south-east Asia.  It's international conservation status is as follows:
IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List Least Concern (IUCN 3.1)
CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora Not listed in any appendix (not protected internationally).
MBTA (Migratory Bird Act) This species is non-native and not protected in the US. Covenance is maintained by the seller and sources.
The first is the up date list of the conservation status of this species and the second is the legal trade status based on international treaty. CITES II basically means to live, dead, or parts of this species can be moved across borders without a specific import permit. Essentially for eBay sales this means this bird and it's parts can only be sold in domestically.
