This is a body hair of the Icelandic horse which is different from all other horses in the world. Most Icelandic horses are living outdoor all year around. Their skin has to keep them warm from – 30°C to + 30°C.
That’s why they have a soft and very tight short hair close to the skin and also longer hair in-between. This makes it easy to get either long or short tail out of the same part.
The Icelandic horse hair is also very good for all tube flies like Black sheep, Icelandic Snaelda, Green brahan, Sunray shadow etc.
Usable for both long wing and short wing flies, tubes etc.
